Sprucing up the Square
These second grade students from P.S. 41 were among a group of 150 who painted pictures of Village buildings during a June 13th public art project, “Washington Sq.Arch Supports,” conducted by artist Marjorie Kouns, on the chain link fence in front of the Arch. The project celebrated the planned renovation of the Arch. As part of the project, supported with Materials for the Arts- NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, the students also formed a human sundial.
